The free limit of 3 a month counts invoices and estimates together. Paid plans are unlimited.
Before you pick one, you probably wonder…
How exactly does my client pay me?
On Pro+ you connect a Stripe account of your own, which takes a few minutes on Stripe's own pages. After that every invoice you send carries a “Pay by card” button. It opens Stripe's own checkout, so your client can use a card or just tap Apple Pay or Google Pay if their phone already has one set up. Most people are done in about ten seconds and never type a card number.
The money lands in your own Stripe account, not ours, and Stripe pays it out to your bank on your normal schedule. Stripe's standard card fee comes out of the payment, and it is the same fee whichever plan you are on.
You do not need Stripe at all. On Pro, an invoice can carry a tappable button pointing at your own Cash App, Venmo, PayPal or Square — your client taps it, pays you directly, and we are nowhere in the middle of it. The button names itself after whoever you use, so they see “Pay with Venmo” rather than something generic.
And on every plan, free included, invoices carry your typed payment instructions: check, bank transfer, Zelle, whatever you already use. Zelle has no shareable link — it works off a phone number inside a bank app — so that one belongs in the instructions rather than the button.
Whichever route your client takes, the money never passes through us and we never see a card number.
What happens if I stop paying?
Nothing is held hostage. Every invoice and estimate you have already written stays viewable and downloadable, and your existing share links keep working. You go back to the free plan's three new documents a month.
Coming off Pro: the tappable Cash App, Venmo or PayPal button comes off your invoices, including ones you have already sent. Your typed payment instructions stay on them.
Coming off Pro+ specifically: the “Pay by card” button comes off invoices that have not been paid yet, the reminders stop, and invoices stop marking themselves paid. Money already on its way to your Stripe account is unaffected — that is between you and Stripe, and we were never in the middle of it.
Can I switch plans later?
Any direction, any time, from the billing page. Moving up takes effect as soon as you confirm, and Stripe shows you what it costs for the rest of the period you have already paid for before anything is charged. Moving down or cancelling, Stripe shows you exactly what changes and when before you confirm, and you never lose time you have already paid for.
Is the yearly price a discount or a lock-in?
A discount. Yearly is exactly ten months of the monthly price, so two months are free, and there is no minimum term hidden underneath it — cancelling works the same as it does monthly.
No card to start. No setup fee. No annual lock-in. If you stop paying, your invoices stay downloadable.
