Terms of Service

Rooted Coast Invoices is a product of Rooted Coast Design LLC, Bandon, Oregon ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.

The service

Rooted Coast Invoices lets you create, share, and download invoices and estimates. The free plan includes 3 documents per month. The Pro plan, $7 per month, removes that limit. The Pro+ plan, $12 per month, also lets your clients pay invoices by card. We may change features over time, and we will not remove core functionality from a paid plan mid-cycle.

Card payments (Pro+)

Card payments are processed by Stripe through a Stripe account that belongs to you, under Stripe's own terms. Payments from your clients go directly to your Stripe account — we never hold, route, or take a share of that money. Refunds, chargebacks, disputes, taxes on your sales, and Stripe's processing fees are between you, your client, and Stripe. We display payment status as reported by Stripe but are not a party to the payment itself.

Your account

You are responsible for your account credentials and for the accuracy of the invoices you send. Invoices you create are between you and your client: we are not a party to those transactions, we do not process their payments, and we make no guarantee that your client pays you.

Subscriptions and billing

• Pro is billed monthly through Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• You can cancel anytime from the billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and you keep Pro until then.
• If a payment fails and is not resolved, your account returns to the free plan. Your existing invoices stay downloadable.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to send fraudulent invoices, to impersonate another business, or for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.

Your data

Your invoices, clients, and logo belong to you. If you close your account, you can request deletion of your data by emailing us. How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers

The service is provided as-is. We work hard to keep it available and correct, but we do not warrant uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for indirect damages or lost profits. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here is tax, accounting, or legal advice.
